About Soni Medicare

The company was incorporated in the name of Soni Hospitals Private Limited on 2nd August, 1988 with the Registrar of Companies, Rajasthan, Jaipur. On 30th March, 1995 the name of the company was changed to Soni Medicare Private Limited. It was later converted into a public limited company with a special resolution passed in the Extraordinary General Meeting on 03rd April, 1995 and a fresh certificate of incorporation was obtained on the 17th April, 1995. Consequently, the name of the company was changed to Soni Medicare Limited.

Soni Hospitals – A unit of Soni Medicare Ltd. was started as a 20-bedded Hospital in 1988 and was founded by Dr. B. R. Soni and inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Hari Dev Joshi, Chief Minister, Rajasthan (1973 – 1977). In 1989 Soni Hospital became a 40 bedded hospital, then expanded to 80 beds. Finally in the year 1996 it got a status of a 100 bed Corporate Multi-specialty Hospital with prime and central location opp. Moti Doongri Ganesh Temple on main JLN Marg.

Soni Hospital got the prestigious NABH accreditation in the year 2013. It converted to a fully air conditioned hospital in 2014. In the year 2018, it was completely revamped to state of the art infrastructure with a new modern women’s health & well-being centre with the name of ‘Joy’ for mother & child wing.

Soni Hospital was the 1st Hospital to introduce Lithotripsy Machine in Rajasthan in the year 1988. It was the first hospital to do an IOL Implant cataract operation in Rajasthan in 1989. In 1992/93 it became the First hospital to have installed a CT scan & MRI machine. It was the first ISO certified hospital of Rajasthan from 2001 till 2008. It has been NABH accredited since 2013. The inauguration was done by Shri Bheron Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Rajasthan (1990-1998). Besides these, other Ultra-Modern Equipments like C-ARM, Colonoscope, Laproscopic Surgical Equipments, Wield Microscope, Phacoemulsification Machine and Laser Machine for Eye, ECG Machine, Spirometry Machine, Audiometry Machine, ENG Machine, CTMT Machine, 2D-ECHO Machine etc. were also added and with these facilities, it is now an Ultramodern Hi-Tech Corporate Hospital.

This outstanding achievement of the Hospital was due to invaluable contribution of eminent doctors like Dr. S. R. Mehta (Padamshree award winner), Dr. G. C. Sharma, Dr. J. P. Sethi, Dr. K. C. Sogani, Dr. P. K. Wanchoo, Dr. I. P. Garg and Dr. P. Chatterjee who were the pillars of this Hospital in the formative years. Besides these, the Government of Rajasthan also extended helping hand by sending Dr. Shashi Ramesh, Dr. Deepak Shivpuri and Dr. J. C. Mayanger on deputation to this Hospital who rendered exemplary services in its development.

Soni Medicare Limited was first listed in Jaipur Stock Exchange Limited (JSEL) and later got listed in Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in 2014-15 with its units as Balaji Heart Institute (BHI) and Soni Hospital (SH).
